A graduate of Lafayette High School, Sam has excelled both academically and through his involvement in leadership organizations and music programs. This fall, he will attend Georgetown University to study International Affairs and pursue a career in diplomacy.

The talented theatre students in Mr. George’s class at Woodvale Elementary wrapped up their year in the coolest way possible: by writing original scripts and producing their very own short films!

Gifted teachers did a “little extra” this week.

Mrs. Cook, Mrs. Skerrett, Mrs. Weber, Dr. Webre and Mrs. Roberts-Long attended the UL Center for Gifted Education’s Lagniappe workshop.

While there, they engaged in learning on topics including social emotional learning, diving deeper into thinking, and true differentiation to meet the needs of individual students.

We look forward to seeing how this is implemented next school year.
