Dr. Webre is stepping into Year 7 as our Gifted & Talented Supervisor and celebrating Year 14 overall with LPSS. 🎓

As we gear up to welcome our students back, we are so grateful for her continued leadership in helping our team meet the needs of our gifted & talented learners as they stretch their minds and reach their full potential! ✨

Our Gifted & Talented team spent the day diving deep into IEP training, led by our incredible GT lead teachers!

We rotated through interactive stations breaking down every step of the IEP process, traded their best tips and tricks, and officially welcomed our newest GT educators to the family.

Highlight of the day? We hosted a mock IEP meeting with a new gifted student so our team could see a real-time model of best practices in action! 💡

There’s nothing better than learning from each other and kicking off the year with this much energy. We can’t wait to welcome our students back! ✨

Join us in welcoming Mr. Tim Boudreaux to the Lafayette High School Gifted Program!

Tim Boudreaux is an experienced educator and leader with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Mr. Boudreaux brings over two decades of professional experience to the classroom, including 12 years as a teacher and 9 years in school administration as Assistant Principal and Principal.

His expertise spans multiple science disciplines: physics, chemistry, and biomechanics—complemented by a unique background in exercise science and sports medicine. Mr. Boudreaux is committed to fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment where students can develop critical thinking skills, scientific literacy, and a genuine appreciation for science. His diverse professional background, combined with his passion for education, makes him a dedicated mentor and instructor who connects real-world applications to classroom learning.

Mrs. Dartez is excited to join the Gifted & Talented Program!

With over 10 years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, Math Coordinator, and Mentor Teacher, she is passionate about helping students discover their unique strengths and reach their full potential. Outside the classroom, she enjoys hiking, reading, lifelong learning, and staying actively involved in community theater.
