Not just a Fraternity but a Brotherhood founded on the values of Love, Honor and Truth. Rush Sigma Nu! Sigma Nu's past is a proud and colorful one.
Founded by three cadets at the Virginia Military Institute in a period of civil strife known as the Reconstruction, Sigma Nu represented a radical departure from the times. The system of physical abuse and hazing of underclassmen at VMI led to James Frank Hopkins, Greenfield Quarles, and James McIlvaine Riley to form the "Legion of Honor" which soon became Sigma Nu Fraternity. So, amidst a backdrop of turmoil, North America's first "Honor" fraternity was established.

This morning we had 18 brothers participate in UL’s annual BIG Event. The guys had a great time cleaning up around campus, and would like to thank for hosting a great opportunity to serve our community.

The Sigma Nu: Eta Nu chapter is proud to excel with honor inside and outside of the classroom. Our chapter has achieved a 3.04 cumulative GPA, and would like to congratulate everyone who achieved President’s and Dean’s list last semester.

This weekend, the Eta Nu Commander and Lieutenant Commander Ted Menard and Braden Tregre made a trip to Lexington, VA for our national college of chapters convention. These two gentlemen are ready to get the spring semester underway with the information gained!
