Thank you to our recent graduate Emily Gannon PLPC for speaking to our internship students about all things comps, as well as her experience working in inpatient vs. outpatient clinical settings. We appreciated you coming back to share your post-grad experience!

Thank you to Stephanie Hebert LPC for presenting to our internship students during staffing about the basics of running a private practice. She used her experiences owning Align Therapy and Wellness here in Lafayette to provide this helpful presentation, and answered many questions from our students.

This past weekend, our faculty and students participated in our annual self-care day WHIPPED. This event consisted of good music, yoga, tie-dye, affirmations, paint, and even some physical activities.

We also celebrated the induction of new members into our Ro Alpha Nu chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the student led organization in our department that assisted in hosting this event.

Thank you to all of the students who made this year one to remember, and we hope you continue to take care of yourselves as much as you take care of others. 🌿🧘🎨

Dr. Austin recently published his book titled Mind Your Business: Merging Meaningful Work with Financial Wisdom. This book discusses the business side of counseling, covering topics such as financial literacy, legal and ethical essentials, marketing, innovation, supervision, and retirement planning.
