Lauren holds the role of co-president and has been apart of the tennis club for two years Her favorite thing about the tennis club has been making many great friends and memories!

-she’s been playing tennis since she was 8

Her favorite tennis memory:
“When we played my first year at Mobile! We had 2 teams play and it was so much fun!!
Every night we would hang out and have so much fun!”

CONGRATULATIONS TO NICHOLAS CASTANEDA🤟🏼

This is Nick! Our graduating senior, class of 2026🎓

🧬 He majored in biology with a concentration in allied health sciences and had a minor in in chemistry 🧪 He plans to attend Medical School at St. James school of Medicine starting this fall!

🎾 Nick has been a part of the UL Tennis Club from 2022-2026, and has served as president since. His favorite memory from the tennis club is when he got chased by a goose with former club member, Hayden, at Ole Miss while playing golf before tennis🪿

We couldn’t be more grateful to have someone like Nick not only serve, but be a major part of the tennis club. Without him, the club would not be what it is today. We are so proud of him for what he’s been able to accomplish and cannot wait to see what he does for himself in the future❤️🤟🏼

Lastly, here are some words he left to the club,

“As my time comes to an end here I would like to thank everyone for making this club a family, little do you know how much this club has grown in the past four years and it was truly a blessing to be at the helm. Throughout these years I’ve seen us go from 4 members to 100+ and it truly couldn’t have been done without yall. God has truly blessed us in an unimaginable way with this sport, so don’t take it for granted and enjoy these few moments we have with each other. The future looks bright and I am looking forward to see how it plays out. With that being said thank yall for everything and god bless y’all.”

Last week we held our End of Year Banquet! Thank you to everyone who came out and contributed to the potluck, and thank you to the Fremin family for hosting us. It was a great way to wrap up the 2025-26 year!! 🤟🎾🌶️

TALLAHASSEE CAPITAL CLASSIC🪶🌴

This past weekend, the tennis club competed in the Capital Classic Tournament in Tallahassee, Florida🤟🏼 We played in the Bronze Bracket🎾

We had such a great time and thank you to Florida State University for having our team play in your tournament. This was also our last tournament of the semester and we went out with a bang!

RAZORBACK INVITATIONAL 🐗🎾

-This past weekend, the team traveled to Fayetteville, Arkansas to play in the Razorback Invitational! Thank you to for the opportunity to play and shoutout to our team for showing up and showing out🤟🏼

Lots of smiles on and off the court for this years Southerns Tournament in Mobile! 🎾

We placed in the Bronze Bracket and placed 5th!
