This year, Paint the Town Red gave us one of those moments as we honored the memory of Susan Fisher, a UL Lafayette alumna and longtime Homecoming Committee member who helped establish this beloved tradition.
Susan believed in bringing the greater Lafayette community into the celebration of Homecoming, and Paint the Town Red became part of that lasting legacy.
During the schools competition, the Alumni trolley made a special stop at Fisher Early Childhood Development Center . There, Susanโs family was presented with a proclamation officially dedicating the 2026 Paint the Town Red contest in her honor. See that very moment below in the comments.
It was a meaningful moment to gather with her family, remember Susan, and celebrate the impact she made on a tradition that continues to bring our community together year after year.
As Lafayette once again turned red for Homecoming, we were proud to remember someone who helped make it all possible. โค๏ธ
