A comeback story can change everything.
At our Spring Gala, we celebrated the impact of the Comeback Scholarship and honored someone who lived it firsthand. After putting his degree on pause, Jake Delhomme returned to UL Lafayette to finish what he started, proving it’s never too late to come back stronger.
Today, that same opportunity is helping former students return to UL Lafayette, overcome obstacles, and earn the degree they never gave up on. These inspiring scholarship recipients are writing their own comeback stories, one step closer to crossing the stage as Ragin’ Cajun graduates.
Hear from Nichole Jagneaux and Lindsey Croall, two mothers and scholars who took a leap of faith to return to school and pursue their dreams. We also had the honor of welcoming Joelle Griffin Judice to the stage at our Annual Spring Gala to share her inspiring story of perseverance and growth. We are deeply grateful to each of them for sharing their journeys and reminding us what it truly means to make a comeback.

Congratulations to our Spring 2026 Philanthropy Cord and Exceptional Service Award recipients. Together, this outstanding group contributed several hundred hours of community service throughout their college careers, making a lasting impact on both the University and the communities they served.
Special thanks to Dr. David Yarborough, Dean of Community Service, Kathleen Guedry, our board president, Julie LaFleur, director of the UL Lafayette AmeriCorps program, and all of our academic deans for their participation and support in recognizing these remarkable students.
We are proud to celebrate the dedication, leadership, and service these recent graduates have demonstrated during their time at the University. As they begin this next chapter, we warmly welcome them into the alumni family and look forward to seeing all they accomplish as proud Ragin' Cajuns in the years ahead.
