The Lafayette Children's Choir is pleased to announce two new directors! Karla Fultz, who currently teaches elementary music at Earhart Elementary School, will direct the Children's Choir (younger voices, generally through grade six); joining her will be Patrick Meador, who will direct Concert Choir (older voices, generally grades six and up). Meador is also a music teacher in Lafayette School Corp., teaching at Miller and Murdock Elementary Schools.

Welcome to these new directors! We are looking forward to a fantastic year with our youngest singers. Vocal assessments are scheduled for mid-August - see our earlier post and sign up here:

Join us for Lafayette School Corp.'s first-ever BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAIR, 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 23, Jefferson High School. This event is open to all current AND prospective families. Visit with our schools and see what LSC can offer your child. And learn about community agencies who work for our families. The Tippecanoe County Public Library bookmobile will be onsite! Free haircuts for kids, and an opportunity to get necessary immunizations from the Tippecanoe County Health Department.

The Lafayette Children's Choir is looking for a director for its children's choir and youth chorus. The groups rehearse weekly starting mid-August, performing three concerts each season, along with a few outreach performances. The Lafayette Children’s Choir will bid farewell to directors Kirsi Seagraves and Jamie Tartell at the end of this season. Kirsi is stepping back to spend more time with her family, while Jamie is relocating to Illinois. Thank you both for your dedication to instilling a love of choral music in children.

“Imagine Changing the Workd” was the theme of the Lafayette Children’s Choir spring performance. There is nothing more beautiful than the sounds of children’s voices.
