The Annual Back to School Bash at Ivy Tech Community College, 3101 S. Creasy Lane, Lafayette takes place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to noon. Free and open to the public. Free backpacks filled with school supplies (while supplies last). Free haircuts. Free food and health fair resources. Games and family fun activities.

July 29, 2026 Bethany Presbyterian and Holy Trinity Church Back to School BBQ and Blessing, at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3305 Longlois Dr., Lafayette 5:30-7 pm. Free Backpacks, shoes, and haircuts for students. Free food and snow cones for the family.

August 1, 2026 Lafayette Police Department National Night Out event with Revival Barber and Beauty Academy, Columbian Park, 1915 Scott St., Lafayette, 4-7 pm. Free haircuts for children; free boat, train and carousel rides; food trucks; and community resource information.

August 9, 2026 The Parlour 52 Back to School Haircuts, 3457 Bethel Dr., Suite , Lafayette 12-5 pm. Free haircuts for ages 5-17. Dry cuts only. No appointments. First come. First serve.

Join us for Lafayette School Corp.'s first-ever BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAIR, 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 23, Jefferson High School. This event is open to all current AND prospective families. Visit with our schools and see what LSC can offer your child. And learn about community agencies who work for our families. The Tippecanoe County Public Library bookmobile will be onsite! Free haircuts for kids, and an opportunity to get necessary immunizations from the Tippecanoe County Health Department.
