Kappa Delta Pi Delta Iota chapter at University of Louisiana at Lafayette initiated 5 new members today. Alumnus Jess LB was our guest speaker.
Delta Iota Chapter at UL Lafayette College of Education & Human Development will be holding their 2026 spring Initiation ceremony on Saturday, February 28th 11am in Maxim Doucet hall room 104.
Everyone is invited to attend.
DO YOU NEED SERVICE HOURS?
You and your krewe are invited to the Mardi Gras Clean Sweep. Help clean up along the Lafayette parade route from 9-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 21. Volunteers should check in at Blackham Coliseum.
Following the Mardi Gras season, litter left behind from parade goers and throws pollutes the campus and community. This waste can enter the nearby drains and coulees that run through Lafayette and damage the Bayou Vermillion Watershed. Help clean up and keep storm drains and coulees free from litter.
The clean-up event is open to everyone. You can register individually or create your own "krewe" of friends, student organizations, teams, classes, offices, departments, and more.

This initiative is being hosted by UL Lafayette AmeriCorps, Parish Proud, and Keep Lafayette Beautiful.

I am pleased to share that Dr. Aeve Abington-Pitre, Associate Professor in EDCI, has been named to Kappa Delta Pi’s (KDP) Eleanor Roosevelt Chapter—a highly selective honor that recognizes individuals with longstanding service to KDP and a deep commitment to excellence in teaching, leadership, and service.
