What is Your ACT Plan?
9th graders
Pay attention in Algebra class. Really learn it. Algebra is a core Math class for every Math class through college. READ READ READ!!! Everything. Read for understanding.
10th graders
Geometry is all over the ACT Math. Really learn it. Take the ACT at least once between June and December. Some 10th graders are required to take the ACT in March at school. Even if you're not asked to take it in March, take another ACT between January & April. You want to begin your Junior year with a strong ACT score.
11th graders
This is your year to really prepare for college. At this point, you should already be close to your goal ACT score. By the March ACT at school, it should just be an extra test to level up. THIS SHOULD NOT BE YOUR 1ST ACT!!! Take as many ACT exams as you can before the March ACT.
12th graders
Higher ACT scores mean MORE money for college. This is your year to MAXIMIZE your scholarship awards. College apps open August 1. Pay attention to Merit Scholarship deadlines. (I can't stress this enough). Merit Scholarships are the easiest renewable scholarships to get. By August 1 you should be ready to submit everything

How to Use Your My ACT Answer Key
If your teen took the JUNE ACT, one of the smartest investments you can make is purchasing ACT My Answer Key.
With ACT My Answer Key, you'll receive:
β
A digital copy of the actual ACT questions
β
Your student's answers
β
The official answer key
β
The score conversion table used to calculate ACT scores
This turns your student's ACT into a personalized study guide instead of just another test score.
Here's what to look for as you read their report...
βοΈ Identify exactly which question types your student missed.
βοΈ Build a personalized ACT study plan based on real data.
βοΈ If you see a consistent answer pattern at the end of a subject, your teen most likely ran out of time and started guessing. (This may be a time management issue. Not finishing in time is usually tied to lack of confidence with their decisions)
It's not too late to order your teen's June answer key, log into your ACT account to request it.
Merit Scholarships are the easiest scholarships to earn money for college...
β
Clear requirements (GPA + ACT/SAT score)
β
Not subjective to a committee "choosing" you
β
MANY to give away!
BUT...
You MUST apply by the deadlines!!
Do your research.
