Happy 90th Anniversary LSP!

Honoring 90 Years of Service, Dedication, and Tradition

On July 28, 1936, the Louisiana State Police was officially established, beginning a legacy of service that has endured for nine decades.

From 102 officers serving across 11 districts to generations of Troopers who have answered the call since, LSP has evolved alongside the state and the people we proudly serve. Through changing times, new challenges, and countless milestones, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to protecting Louisiana with professionalism, pride, and purpose.

Today, we honor those who came before us, recognize the women and men carrying that legacy forward, and look to the future with the same dedication that has defined Louisiana State Police since 1936.

For 90 years, the principles at the heart of Louisiana State Police have stood the test of time and continue to guide every generation of Louisiana State Troopers:

Courtesy. Loyalty. Service.

Proud of our history. Honored by our legacy. Ready for the road ahead.

Alpha Fifty-Four Group extends our sincere thanks to the Zachary Police Department for hosting our Autism Awareness for First Responders training on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, and Thursday, July 23, 2026.

We want to offer a special thank you to Assistant Chief Roderick Ennis and Lt. Enoch Sims for coordinating and scheduling this important training for their personnel. Their commitment to enhancing public safety and serving the citizens of Zachary is truly appreciated.

We also wanted to thank Ms. Holly Thomas, Law Enforcement Coordinator with the U.S. Attorney's Office, for her continued support of this training.

Our Autism Awareness for First Responders course equips law enforcement officers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognize autism-related behaviors, communicate effectively, and safely de-escalate interactions with individuals on the autism spectrum.

This training is designed to help prevent tragic misunderstandings by enabling officers to distinguish neurodivergent behaviors from intentional non-compliance or criminal intent. Through specialized communication strategies and de-escalation techniques, the course enhances both officer safety and positive outcomes during community interactions.

It is an honor to work alongside the dedicated public safety professionals who serve and protect our communities every day.

If your agency is interested in hosting Autism Awareness for First Responders or any of Alpha Fifty-Four Group's specialized training courses, we invite you to contact us for additional information and scheduling availability.

We want to extend our sincere thanks to Lt. Austin Jones and the Albany Police Department for inviting us to participate in the Albany and Springfield Youth Association's Summer Football Camp on June 22 and 26.

During the camp, we had the opportunity to educate young athletes about the dangers of synthetic opioids—specifically fentanyl—through the One Pill Can Kill initiative. Our goal is to raise awareness, provide lifesaving information, and empower young people to make informed decisions that can protect themselves and those around them.

It is encouraging to see law enforcement, community organizations, coaches, parents, and volunteers working together to invest in the health and safety of our youth. Partnerships like these strengthen our communities, build trust, and create opportunities to have meaningful conversations that can make a lasting impact.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize and support these events. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of such an important mission and look forward to working together again in the future.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of the Capital Area Regional Training Academy (CARTA) for the opportunity to present our "OIS and Other Critical Incidents: Surviving the Fight and Aftermath" class to the CARTA Class #55 recruits.

This specialized training examines officer-involved shootings (OIS) and other critical incidents, focusing on topics that are often overlooked in traditional law enforcement training. The class provides an in-depth look at post-incident investigations from criminal, civil, and administrative perspectives, helping officers understand what to expect in the aftermath of a critical event.

In addition, the training addresses the physical, mental, and emotional challenges officers may face following a critical incident and provides practical, evidence-based strategies for resilience, recovery, and long-term wellness.

We would also like to express our gratitude to Lieutenant Antonio Carter and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office Training Division for their support and for allowing us the opportunity to deliver this important training to CARTA recruits.

It is always an honor to work alongside the dedicated public safety professionals who serve and protect our communities every day.

If your agency is interested in hosting this class or learning more about our other specialized training programs, please contact us for additional information and scheduling availability.
