This was the very first day of Freedom Christian Homeschool. We had six students gathered around my kitchen table. I used the glass on my backdoor as a whiteboard. It was truly a humble beginning. It may not be a kitchen table anymore, but we still strive to recreate that kitchen table feeling. 💚

Mrs. Michelle's favorite memory was visiting the Orphan Train Museum.

"Getting out of the classroom and learning about the history of Louisiana was such a great experience. The orphan train museum was an inspirational site that showed an important and often little known time during our state’s history."

Mrs. Lacey was asked what her favorite memory was from the 2025-2026 school year.

"Our book parties. I loved listening to the students share their thoughts about each month’s book. Wrapping them up with a celebration built even more lasting memories. Getting cozy for a movie and noticing the differences from the book always had them engaged. But my favorites were when we played silly games like our potato throwing contest, mummy race, or dressing up a vegetable as a book character."

Students love our monthly field trips to the local library. After they check out books, they get to hang out with friends. 📚
