It’s true we are raising a different generation. One with short attention spans, little patience, and the word “no” feels like a threat to their very existence.

It’s also true that instead of play kitchens and nap time, we’re looking at standardized testing and screen time.

More than ever, we need movement, regulation, and alternative teaching methods.

I love living in the in between space, getting to create that in my own community.

LOVE a stretchy band moment from

It’s the first prop I’m grabbing for new SPED groups because it’s colorful, engaging, and gets the whole group connected LITERALLY.

Cannot recommend enough. I use a medium for self contained and PreK classes. I use a large for kindergarten and first grade.

In SPED classes, a lot of my friends could be non-verbal. I’m going to use my face and body language to clearly communicate the vibe. No feelings were hurt here, we got right back on track because Ms. Kelsey’s face does not play ☺️
