Dear Parents and Guardians,
Since 2024, Walker County Schools has used Securly as an important tool to help our schools monitor online student activity as part of our ongoing commitment to student safety.
Securly helps us keep track of internet searches, emails, and documents on student-issued accounts and school devices. We receive alerts whenever student activity is flagged for concerns, ensuring our students' online interactions remain safe and appropriate.
However, please note that our school staff will only monitor these alerts during school days and school hours. While we make every effort to maintain a safe digital environment during the school day, parents and guardians are responsible for actively monitoring your child’s internet activity outside of these hours.
At the beginning of this school year, all students and their parents/guardians reviewed and signed off on the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). We kindly remind you to continue supporting your child in following the guidelines outlined in the AUP, reinforcing the importance of responsible online behavior.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us maintain a safe and responsible online environment for all our students. Should you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Martin, Principal
North LaFayette Elementary
