Mrs. Tammy is a Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife and the owner of The Baby Catcher Birth Center, a safe alternative to going to the hospital for low-risk pregnant women.

Welcome Ana Acosta to AIM High!!

Ana is a native of Mexico, born and raised in Parral, Chihuahua

Ana says she is eager to share knowledge that cant fit into textbooks. Knowledge that will he applied in life and having fun while students learn and grow.

Ana is the Spanish Instructor at AIM High!
She is excited to help students discover a world and people outside their own culture and language.

Welcome Shatamia Alexander Webb to AIM High!!

Shatamia is a Licensed Midwife in LA through the LA State Board of Medical Examiners and Certified Nationally as a Certified Professional Midwife along with a LONG list of other medical certifications.

She is the owner of Baby Catcher Birth Center which is the first Black Owned free-standing birth center in the state.

AND she is my Leadership Institute of Acadiana LL # # Classmate.

We are BLESSED to have Shatamia as the Biology Instructor at AIM High 9th Grade Academy

My reasons for starting a homeschool (microschool) were to give families , to create a space for teens to be comfortable being themselves, & to foster a love for learning.

Today, I listened to our 10th graders welcome our 9th graders to AIM High by sharing our school motto E.V.O.L.V.E.

E- Explore new ideas
V- Visualize goals
O- Overcome obstacles
L- Love learning
V- Value yourself
E - Enjoy the journey

One 10th grader said,
"This is the best school Ive ever been to. I'm a better student here than I've been at any other school."

Today was complete affirmation that I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be, doing exactly what I'm called to do.

The road ain't been easy...
But GRACE & MERCY follows me 🌿
