Music from the Heart

First day of Fall Semester here at Music from the heart! I'm one week post op and still feeling pain and moving (very) slowly 😄 but it was so great to see my students today! Here's to another great year of music! 🎶🎵🎼🎹

Dr. S #1 started off as a piano student and then became one of my closest friends and a member of the fam. She was in town for a conference this past week and OF course we had to meet up to visit and so she could try out Old Faithful (the studio's new baby grand)

🎹 This kiddo has taken lessons from me since he was 12. 🤯 Sunday we celebrated him and all his accomplishments at his SENIOR Piano Recital. Those 6 Years went by like the blink of an eye. (Well, minus 2020, I think we all can agree that year lasted approx. 9 years.) Hes grown up in so many ways and has grown and developed as a Pianist. While some would have taken the year that lasted 9 Years 😅 as an excuse to not practice or check out. He got more devoted to the piano and fell more in love with music and had the most growth over the past two years! So proud of him! you KILLED it at your Senior Recital. This sappy teacher had a tear or two, ok maybe more than that. But seriously so proud of this kid, he has a lot of talent and he's crazy smart. I look forward to seeing the mark he makes on the world!!

Just for fun I went thru the archives and found the first picture of him celebrating his 13th birthday! Not to be left out, the Halloween he showed up in the Doge the Dog mask and knocked a few years off my life. 🤣

Happy First day of School and first day of Fall Schedule here at Music from the Heart! I can't wait to hear how everyone's first day went!

This made me laugh! And as my students will tell you, it's a pet peeve of mine when they don't write a high note as an 8va. "What did 8va ever do to you?!" Are words that frequently come out of my mouth. 😁

Happy February Friends!!!! Its my favorite month of the year! Aka my Birthday month, which is made even more fun because I have not 1 but 2!! Students who have birthdays just days apart from me!
