A message from our Principal:
Good Afternoon LRCA Families!
I want to begin by saying thank you for your continued support, patience, and partnership last week as we navigated our staggered start to the 2026–2027 school year. Our students were so excited to be on campus, and our faculty and staff were just as excited to welcome them!
Tomorrow is a BIG DAY! ALL 1st–4th grade students will officially be on campus together. Our teachers are ready, our hallways are ready, and we hope our students are ready for another great week at LRCA!
🚗 Arrival & Dismissal Reminders
As we welcome all students back, we ask for your continued patience and grace as we work through arrival and dismissal procedures.
Our number one priority is always to ensure that every student arrives safely and leaves safely.
-If you have a car tag, please remain in the lane indicated on your car tag during dismissal.
-If you do not have a car tag, you will need to arrive beginning at 3:45 p.m. and show your ID in the front office so that we can safely release your student.
-Regular dismissal is from 3:20–3:45 p.m.
-We allow a 15-minute grace period for dismissal.
-By 4:00 p.m., all students must be picked up. Students remaining after 4:00 p.m. will be checked into Aftercare and the applicable Aftercare fee will apply.
-DS Transportation will be on campus tomorrow from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm if you have any bus questions!
Thank you in advance for helping us make dismissal as smooth and safe as possible!
🎒 Kindergarten Staggered Start
Tomorrow, we are also excited to welcome our Kindergarten boys for their first day of school!
Kindergarten parents and students will report to the gym at 9:30 a.m. for a brief parent orientation. I will review our school-wide expectations and procedures. Following the orientation, parents will visit their child’s classroom for approximately 15 minutes, where the teacher will review classroom expectations and procedures.
After that time, parents will depart and our Kindergarten students will remain on campus with their teachers.
Kindergarten Schedule:
-Monday, 8/17: Kindergarten Boys
-Tuesday, 8/18: Kindergarten Girls
-Wednesday, 8/19: All Kindergarten Students
🧸 Pre-K Staggered Start
We will follow the same model for our Pre-K students:
Parents will report to the gym at 9:30 a.m. for a brief orientation, followed by approximately 15 minutes in the classroom with your child’s teacher. Parents will then depart, and students will remain on campus with their teachers.
Pre-K Schedule:
-Thursday, 8/20: Pre-K Boys
-Friday, 8/21: Pre-K Girls
-Monday, 8/24: All Pre-K Students
We are incredibly excited about the year ahead and grateful to have such supportive families partnering with us. Thank you for trusting us with your children and for working alongside us as we establish routines and procedures that will help make LRCA a safe, welcoming, and successful school community.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to seeing our students tomorrow!
With gratitude,
Principal Kayla Trahan

🚗💙 CAR TAGS ARE HERE, TIGERS! 🐯
Parents, car tags are available for pickup once all school fees have been paid. Please stop by the front office Monday–Friday, 9:30 A.M.–2:00 P.M. to pick up your student’s car tag.
Yes your car tag from last year will still work.
📌 To avoid wait times, please call Ms. Reese before coming to pick up your car tag.
🚨 NO CAR TAG = 3:45 P.M. PICKUP! 🚨
If you do not have a car tag, you must wait until 3:45 P.M. to pick up your student. At that time, you will need to come inside the front office and present a valid driver’s license or photo ID for verification.
To help us keep dismissal running smoothly and efficiently, we strongly encourage all parents to pay outstanding school fees and pick up their car tag.
⚠️ Please don’t wait—get your car tag and help us make dismissal quicker and easier for everyone! 🚗💙
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a safe, smooth, and efficient dismissal process. 🐯💙

📢 Tiger Families — Please Watch! 🐯💙
As we prepare for a smooth and successful school year, we’ve created three quick videos to help families become familiar with our school procedures:
🚗 Car Rider Arrival Procedures
🚙 Car Rider Dismissal Procedures
🏫 Student Check-In & Check-Out Procedures
Please take a few minutes to watch all three videos so you know what to expect when arriving on campus.
Following these procedures will help us keep our students safe, reduce wait times, and keep arrival and dismissal running as smoothly as possible.
Thank you for your patience, cooperation, and partnership as we kick off another great year at LRCA! 💙🤍🐯

Our 2026-2027 school year is officially underway! 💙
We kicked things off with NTI (New Teacher Institute) on Thursday, welcoming the newest members of our LRCA family. On Friday, we reunited with our returning staff for RTO (Returning Teacher Orientation).
This year, we did something a little different by dedicating Friday to wellness because before we can pour into our students, we must first take care of ourselves. From yoga and mindfulness to painting, games, and team-building activities, our staff had opportunities to recharge, reconnect, laugh, and simply enjoy one another.
A healthy team creates a thriving school community, and we’re excited for all that’s ahead this year. Here’s to a year of growth, wellness, teamwork, and excellence! 💙🤍
