Lafayette Karate Club is the only traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate in town! Member the of Japan Karate Association (JKA), & JKA American Federation.
Our Chief Examiner is Takayuki Mikami Sensei, JKA 9th Dan & Chief Instructor is Rose Shuff (Sandan). Lafayette Karate Club is the only traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate in town. Shotokan training is divided into three parts: kihon (basics), kata (patterns of moves), and kumite (sparring).
