We wanted to share this exciting opportunity that is open to our Jazz Band saxophone, trumpet, trombone, rhythm section, and percussion students.

2026 All-Region Jazz Band
What - This event allows middle school jazz musicians the opportunity to expand their jazz experience beyond their own school. Students are selected based on their application and director evaluations. Selected students will then rehearse as an ensemble with students from other schools under a professional jazz guest director on Saturday.
Who – Selected 7th – 9th grade students
Where – Ben Davis HS in Indianapolis, IN
When – Saturday, November 21 & Sunday, November 22

We are VERY excited to begin Jazz Band tomorrow! 🎶😊

After 7th period ends, students should report directly to the band room after they grab their electronics from their locker.

Jazz Band rehearses 3:00-4:00 pm on Tuesday and Thursday each week.

Currently, there is a 4:30 pm activity bus for clubs. This bus will drop-off students to several stops around Lafayette, similar to the Summer Band buses. Students can also walk, ride their bike/skateboard, ride the city bus, or be picked up in a car. Students who are not taking the activity bus are expected to have transportation ready at 4:00 pm. Please note that we will not be providing supervision of the students waiting for the activity bus.

If your student needs to miss rehearsal or spilt time with other activity, please make sure that it is communicated to us either through email or Remind. If a student misses more than 3 rehearsals without communicating with a director BEFOREHAND, they will be removed from the band.
