📣 Important Announcement from Kids First Child Care Center
After much thought and many difficult conversations, We’ve made the decision to temporarily close Kids First Child Care Center. Our last day of care will be June 13, 2025.
Since opening our doors in March 2010, Kids First has been more than just a child care center—it’s been a home. A place where tiny feet took their first steps, where stories were read a hundred times, where birthdays were celebrated with frosting-covered grins, and where boo-boos were fixed with a Band-Aid and a hug.
Over the years, we’ve had the joy of watching babies grow into bold, brilliant kids ready to take on the world. We’ve seen siblings join the crew, shared laughs with parents, and built bonds that go far beyond business. You entrusted us with your most precious people, and we’ll never be able to fully express what that trust has meant to us.
This closure comes not from a lack of love or energy—but from a lack of funding, support, and sustainable resources. Like so many others in this field, we’ve struggled to keep up with rising costs and increasing requirements while still trying to provide affordable, quality care. Right now, it’s simply not possible to continue.
For now, this is a temporary closure. If circumstances change—if funding improves or child care becomes a career that can both serve families and support providers—we hope to be back within the next year.
To all the families who’ve been part of Kids First: thank you. You’ve filled our heart and home with joy, chaos, and purpose. Whether you were with us for a few months or several years, you’ve left a lasting mark, and we will carry those memories with me always.
This isn’t goodbye forever… just goodbye for now. 💛
