Don’t forget to Vote!
This Tuesday November 8th!

I wanted to take an opportunity to share with everyone a little bit about myself and why I want to continue to serve our community for a third term on the South Montgomery School Board. I was born and raised in Ladoga and a Southmont graduate in the class of 1996. I live in Ladoga with my wife Tonya Mason and my two children Mallory and Gavin Mason, who both attend Southmont currently. I am passionate about helping our local community schools. I enjoy coaching in multiple sports including softball, football and baseball. I have happily given all my board stipends directly back to individual school programs in need. I stay interactive with the teachers and staff to understand the needs of our schools.

The School Board Accomplishments over my past two terms:
• Class size reduction in our elementary schools
• Over $30 million dollars in lease and general obligation bonds with No increase in taxes.
• New HVAC in the Elementary Schools
• New Roofs on all of the Elementary Schools
• New Paint & Carpet in Elementary Schools
• Refresh of Mountie Stadium for soccer, track, and football
• New Baseball and Softball Fields
• New practice fields
• New CTE wing at the High School
• New High School Commons Area
• We are a 1:1 technology school in k-12 (iPads then Chromebooks, but is now all grades)
• We have given amazing, consistent raises to our teachers over the last 4 years without increasing taxes
• We have started and grown our preschool program: Little Mountie Preschool
• Consistent tax rates for our community
• Helped Redirect Budget
• We have a long term fiscal plan

Why a 3rd term? I am excited to work with the new leadership and continue the boards work to better our schools. I will continue to be fiscally conservative with our tax dollars while ensuring our students have what they need. Our teachers are a large part of our success in our South district schools and I will continue to fully support them as in my previous terms.
