WHAT HAVE YOU DISCOVERED ABOUT YOURSELF LATELY?
Over the past several weeks, I've been sharing something very close to my heart through my 66 Days to Free To Be Now™ journey.
We've talked about success, identity, the masks we wear, and the roles we've learned to play.
The Achiever. The Strong One. The Caregiver. The Perfectionist. The People Pleaser.
We've explored what happens when everyone depends on you, but very few people really know you.
We've talked about why being busy can sometimes become an escape. Why we try to control things beyond our control. Why we seek approval, even when it means compromising what we truly want.
And we've looked at that inner voice that can be so much harder on us than we would ever be on someone we love.
There is a reason I've been sharing these reflections.
I know what it's like to build a life that looks successful on the outside while slowly losing connection with yourself on the inside.
For many years, I was the responsible one. The problem solver. The person who made things happen.
I was proud of what I had accomplished, and I still am.
But there came a point when I had to ask myself some difficult questions.
What am I working so hard for?
Am I truly enjoying the life I've worked so hard to create?
When was the last time I stopped to ask myself what I actually wanted?
Those questions changed the direction of my life.
Looking back, I've come to understand something important.
Many of the qualities that helped us survive, succeed, and become who we are today began as ways of protecting ourselves.
Being strong. Being independent. Being responsible. Being needed.
These qualities aren't necessarily bad.
But sometimes we become so attached to the person we've learned to be that we forget we have permission to become someone different.
Someone who can be successful without constantly proving their worth.
Someone who can love deeply without abandoning themselves.
Someone who can forgive without excusing what happened.
Someone who can enjoy what they've built without feeling guilty for slowing down.
That's what Free To Be Now™ means to me.
It's about recognizing the invisible patterns that have been shaping our lives.
It's about reconnecting with ourselves, remembering what truly matters, and making conscious choices about how we want to live.
Perhaps most importantly, it's about understanding that we don't have to wait for a crisis, a loss, or a major life transition to give ourselves permission to change.
We can begin today.
As we move into the next chapter of this 66-day journey, we'll explore how to move beyond awareness and begin living more intentionally.
Today, I'd love to hear from you.
Of everything I've shared over the past several weeks, what has resonated with you the most?
Was it the masks we wear? The pressure to always be strong? The need for approval? The inner critic? Or the realization that the life you've built may no longer reflect the person you're becoming?
You don't have to share anything deeply personal.
Even one thought or one word is welcome.
Because sometimes the most meaningful changes begin with a simple moment of awareness.
