Laconia Early Learning Center

💙💙💙You blew us away on Tuesday, Lakes Region. 💙💙💙

You raised $503,710 in gifts and pledges for local kids and families at the Champions for Kids Breakfast, as a room full of neighbors, friends, volunteers, and first-time supporters coming together.

We're humbled. This wasn't one person or one organization. It was a community showing up, again and again, because you believe every child deserves a safe place to learn and grow, and every working family deserves support.

We started the morning the way our BELC toddlers start their days: "I am smart. I am kind. I am strong. I can do hard things. I'm a good friend. I'm glad you're here." Hearing a full room say those words alongside our Club youth was something none of us will forget.

Your generosity with multi-year pledges offers sustainability for our programs, will shore up our food program, and strengthens staffing so we can provide great care for Club kids every day, including at our two new Lakes Region locations in Belmont and at Plymouth State.

Thank you to Platinum Group NH for sponsoring, to Wendy Mills and Jessica McDonald of Comparion Insurance for sharing their families' stories, to our Club youth who welcomed guests, to our staff who do the work each day, and to every person who gave, volunteered, or simply came to learn more about the Club's work.

Together, we really can do it. 🙏

The ribbon is cut! We are so excited to be welcoming children and families into the brand new Sara M. Allen Early Learning Center, located in the recently restored Gale School in Belmont. We celebrated with tours and an open house on Old Homes Day, and even got a special visit from Senator Shaheen, who had helped secure funding to restore the historic building for Lakes Region Community Developers. Amanda Carroll from Belmont ELC is our new Site Director and is doing an awesome job making infants and toddlers feel welcome, celebrated, and at home in their new space!
