Tomorrow at Tune the Tale, we shift gears.

With The Listening Walk, we move from big sounds and movement to something more refined:
listening, noticing, and creating with intention.

Children will explore:

how to identify sounds around them
how to recreate them using voice, body, and simple instruments
how to move through a story by listening first, then responding

It’s a different kind of musical experience—quieter, more focused, and surprisingly powerful.

Free drop-in workshops for kids ages 4–7:

📍 Coles Branch Library (Delevan) · 9:30 AM
📍 Crane Branch Library (Elmwood) · 11:00 AM
📍 Lackawanna Public Library · 11:00 AM

Come ready to listen, move, and make music.

This past weekend, Tune the Tale came to life across Niagara Falls, Cheektowaga, Lackawanna, and Buffalo—and what a ride it was.

From whispering mice to growling Gruffalos, our young musicians explored sound, movement, and imagination in a way that only music can unlock. Watching children step into character, experiment with their voices, and connect story to sound is exactly why this work matters.

A sincere thank you to the Erie County Public Library and Say Yes Buffalo for making these programs possible, and to our sponsors for continuing to support accessible, high-quality music experiences in the community.

To the parents—thank you for showing up. For bringing your children, for trusting the process, and for giving them the space to explore, create, and express.

And of course, none of this happens without the people on the ground:
Mason, Nick, Aris, and Jazmine—your energy, care, and consistency made the difference.

Four cities. Dozens of families. One very clever Gruffalo.

We’re just getting started.

This Saturday at Tune the Tale, we bring The Gruffalo to life through voice, movement, and sound.

Children don’t just listen to the story—they become it.
