There is often a strong focus on men’s physical health — fitness, annual checkups, and heart health — but mental well-being is equally as important because mental health is health!
Just as the body needs care and attention, so does emotional and mental well-being. Yet, there is a silent crisis in men’s mental health — one that too often goes unnoticed or unspoken. Men are nearly four times more likely to die by su***de than women*, underscoring the urgent need to break this silence and seek support.

Do you have a family member living with schizophrenia? Researchers at Brigham Young University are seeking participants for a study exploring how schizophrenia affects family health and whether family involvement in treatment planning can improve outcomes for caregivers and loved ones.
The study is being conducted by Brandon Hassell, an undergraduate researcher, in collaboration with Dr. Ali Crandall of BYU's Public Health Department. Their goal is to better understand the experiences of families and identify ways to strengthen support systems and improve overall family well-being.
Adults living in the United States who have a family member with schizophrenia may be eligible to participate. Interested individuals can scan the QR code on the accompanying flyer to provide their contact information and receive a link to the survey.
By sharing your experiences, you can help researchers gain valuable insights that may benefit families navigating schizophrenia in the future.
