Meadows Food Drive!
Meadows Elementary is excited to host a schoolwide Food Drive from May 4–18, and we need your help! We are collecting nonperishable food items—such as canned goods, peanut butter, pasta, cereal, and more—to support families in our community through the County Food Bank. Students can bring donations directly to their classroom teacher.
To make things even more fun, the class that brings in the most items will win a pizza party! Let’s work together to make a meaningful impact while building school spirit. Thank you for supporting our community!

What an absolute honor it was to watch elementary students from across the North Thurston School District compete in the Battle of the Books tonight. Students have read and studied 8-9 different books over several months in preparation for this competition. Teams of four from each elementary school answer questions specific to all books during this competition. It is not an easy task.
There are 5 rounds of 6 questions. If there is a tie, the teams tied head into a tiebreaker. There were three teams tied tonight. If a team misses a question during the tie breaker, they are out. It came down to the last question between Meadows and Woodland. It ended in a tie! Wow, what an impressive night it was. Congratulations to all students who competed! The room was full of amazing students who clearly have a love for reading! Congratulations to Meadows for defending the title and congratulations to Woodland for being co-champions with Meadows. Thank you to all librarians and coaches for inspiring these students to read! My heart is proud! 🥰👏👏👏
