Bringing home a new bulldogge puppy is exciting but requires preparation, especially since some bulldogges can have special care needs. Here’s a list of 10 essential items to have ready:⸻🐾 1. Quality Puppy Food • Choose a breed-appropriate formula (bulldogges can be prone to weight gain/food allergies) • Ask your breeder for specific brand recommendations.⸻🛏️ 2. Comfortable Crate or Bed • Bulldogges love cozy spaces; choose a well-ventilated crate for training and a soft bed for lounging. • Make sure it’s sized for a puppy, but big enough to grow into.⸻🍽️ 3. Food and Water Bowls • Use stainless steel or ceramic to prevent bacterial buildup. • Consider non-slip, elevated bowls to aid bulldogges breathing and digestion.⸻🧼 4. Cleaning Supplies • Enzyme-based cleaners for accidents during potty training. • Paper towels, p**p bags, and puppy-safe disinfectants are MUST-haves.⸻🐕 5. Collar, Harness, and Leash • Bulldogges benefit from a martin gale style collar to help their owner maintain control and focus on proper training tactics • for younger pups Use a soft, adjustable collar with ID tags and a durable leash.⸻🧸 6. Chew Toys & Teething Aids • Bulldogges are strong chewers. Provide durable rubber toys (like KONGs). • Avoid rawhide and rope toys,—it’s a choking hazard.⸻🛁 7. Grooming Supplies • Bulldogge safe wipes for cleaning facial wrinkles daily. • Puppy shampoo, a soft brush, and ear-cleaning solution!! ⸻📋 8. Veterinary Essentials • Set up a vet appointment right away! • Start the rest of your pups needed vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and a deworming schedule.⸻📚 9. Training Treats & Pads • Use small, high-reward treats for positive reinforcement. • Puppy pads and alfalfa pellets help during early potty training.⸻🏠 10. Safe Puppy Space • Baby gates or playpens to limit access to unsafe areas. • Bulldogge puppies can get into trouble fast—puppy-proof your home!
