Congratulations to Mrs. Catherine Pleasants! We are so proud to call you ours!

We are beyond proud to recognize Mrs. Catherine Pleasants, Troup High School Counselor, for being awarded the Georgia Counseling & Career Development Professional by GVATA (Georgia Vocational Agricultural Teacher Association) and Georgia ACTE (Georgia Association for Career & Technical Education)!

Mrs. Pleasants is truly the backbone of support for our students and an incredible partner to us in the Ag Department and across all of CTAE. She goes above and beyond to ensure our students are scheduled correctly within their pathways, understands the importance of industry certifications, and works tirelessly to help students align their passions with real-world career opportunities.

What makes her even more exceptional is her willingness to learn alongside us. She has attended CTAERN courses to better understand the world of Agriculture and CTAE, showing her commitment to truly knowing the pathways, standards, and opportunities our students experience. That level of dedication speaks volumes about her heart for students and for our programs.
Her collaboration with our Agriculture program helps students stay on track in their pathways, whether they are pursuing Animal Science, Plant & Floral Systems, Agricultural Mechanics, or Natural Resources.

She is a strong advocate for CTAE programs and understands the value of hands-on, skill-based education that prepares students for both college and career success.
We are so thankful for her dedication, professionalism, and heart for students. This recognition is so well deserved!

Congratulations, Mrs. Pleasants! Troup High School is better because of you!

Today we honor leaders past and present — and the future leaders growing in Georgia CTAE classrooms.
Through CTSOs and career pathways, students don’t just learn leadership… they practice it.
That’s .

Our business partners make all of the magic happen.

Thank you, Mr. Frank Bue and Hyundai Mobis!

WBL Coordinators Ms. Godfrey, Ms. McKinley, and Mrs. Freels had a wonderful visit with Mr. Bue to discuss the details of their Work-Based Learning programs, including student, employer, and coordinator responsibilities and expectations.

Mr. Bue provided an insightful tour of the Hyundai Mobis facility, showing where WBL students are working—and the coordinators even got to see TC3 WBL student Ozzy in action!

Thank you, Mr. Bue, for your time and for all the amazing opportunities Hyundai Mobis provides for our students!
