ESU 3 Educational Service Unit 3 serves 18 member school districts across Douglas, Sarpy, Washington, and Cass counties.

We provide professional learning, technology, early childhood, special education, and student services from birth through age 21. ESU #3 is the educational service agency supporting 18 school districts in Cass, Douglas, Sarpy and Washington counties in Eastern Nebraska.

🌟 Building Social-Emotional Skills Together! 🌟

ESU #3 team members recently had the opportunity to support Springfield/Platteview staff at their Preschool Parent Night! 💛

Families explored the Pyramid Model and learned practical ways to continue building and embedding important social-emotional skills at home. From engaging activities to meaningful conversations, the evening was all about learning, collaborating, and strengthening connections between school and home.

We loved spending time with families and supporting their journey in helping young children grow socially and emotionally! 🧡

🎉🐻 Fat Bear Week Fun at Student Services! 🐻🎉

To honor the chubby champion bears and bring some extra joy to our office, Student Services had fun “bear” snacks and launched a bracket-style poll… and the votes are in! 🗳️🥇 Winner: Jill Rogge 🎉She ruled the bracket and took home the title for this year’s Fat Bear showdown. Congratulations, Jill! 🎊

Thanks to everyone who participated, voted, and showed off their bear spirit. We were able to donate $100 to the Otis fund that they matched dollar for dollar!

For families experiencing diaper need, having enough diapers can be a significant challenge—and access to basic necessities can make a meaningful difference in a child’s health, comfort, and well-being.

By feeling the different textures on tree bark, children will improve their tactile awareness and fine motor skills. This activity not only builds sensory skills but also fosters curiosity about the natural world and the wonders trees provide.

This research-based training explores practical strategies for teaching social emotional learning and supporting young children’s social emotional development in childcare settings.
