What a great day! La Vernia winter guard went to the TECA state championships and comes home with a second place trophy in scholastic regional AA! I'm so proud of these young people. Meeting the challenge of a higher classification in style!

Information for Guard contest on 3/8 in Seguin. The Mighty Bear Guard will be performing at 2:01pm. Be loud, be proud, and come support the guard as they work toward the Area contest on March 29th.

Those spectators attending this week's show at Seguin HS, there will be NO SPECTATOR PARKING in the front of the school. SPECTATOR PARKING is at the corner of Lamar St and College St. Signs will be posted. For safety of our performers, ALL Spectators will not be allowed in the front Performer's Entrance.

La Vernia HS Winterguard is your TECA Scholastic Novice Round 1 State Champions!!! Congratulations to all of our amazing guard students for an amazing job this season. They placed 1st in three different regional contests and 2nd in one, ending the season as State Champions!!!

What a week! Our kiddos did a fantastic job all week at band camp and we finished it off with a great day of fun and games with the "band olympics". Our winners... 1st place Trumpet/Horns, 2nd place was a tie with the Saxes and Flutes. Special thanks to the Roberts family and the La Vernia Fire Department for all their help in making today such a success!

Great opportunity for all LVHS Band students and families. We are exploring the possibility of taking the band students to Orlando, FL and visiting Disney World and Universal Studios in the Summer of 2023. This trip would be at the beginning of June and would cost around $1,500/person. We would do a manageable payment plan to help our families as much as we can starting in August. If your student or family is interested in participating in this trip, please fill out the Google Form in this message so that we can find if this is a good option or not. Thanks.

The LVHS band program is happy to announce that they have advanced to the state round of the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Honor Band selection process. Recordings of the band will be heard, and judged, at the Texas Bandmasters Association convention in July to select the best concert band in the state.

Quick reminder, there is a parent meeting about our mattress fundraiser tonight at 7:00pm in the band hall. The company will be raffling one of their "cooling pillows" to anyone that attends and will donate $5 for each adult that shows up to the band boosters.
