hosted its impact report launch party on Saturday, November 1, where our very own Nicholas Gamboa ‘25 was the featured speaker. Nicholas inspired everyone in attendance with his story and is a true reflection of Spartan resilience, service and faith. Thank you, Nicholas, for representing Damien with such grace and heart!

One of our most meaningful traditions from the Class of 2025’s Baccalaureate Mass: the Father-Son Pinning Ceremony.

More than a month later, these moments still resonate.

Seniors who are sons of Damien alumni received a commemorative pin from their fathers — who in turn were honored with a pin from their sons. A powerful symbol of legacy, shared values, and the enduring bond between generations of Spartans.

These photos capture what words often cannot: pride, tradition, and the quiet strength of a legacy lived out.

This past Saturday, the hosted the annual Alumni Baseball Game and BBQ, and it was nothing short of incredible. 💚💛

Generations of Spartans came together to celebrate the brotherhood that makes Damien so special. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who joined us and supported this event—it wouldn’t have been the same without you.

Special shoutout to John Salter ’95, who went above and beyond by matching $15,000 dollar-for-dollar from the Baseball team’s Christmas tree fundraiser! 🙌 His generosity was celebrated in style as his younger brother, Jake Salter ’09, presented the check and threw the first pitch at the game.

Gratitude illuminated the quad during our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, as we unveiled a heartfelt gift from Jim Kelly ’69 and Tom Kelly ’70–commemorated by a dedication plaque—in honor of their parents’ sacrifices for faith and education. Their story reminds us to cherish the traditions, values, and light that unite the Damien community. 🌟

Our Counseling Department recently organized a trip for Juniors and Seniors to visit multiple colleges up California through to the Bay Area. A huge “thank you” to our alumni who could help speak about their current academic journeys at their respective schools!
