What a week at the University of La Verne! 💚🧡

Students settled into their new homes during move-in day before coming together for Convocation, where more than 650 Leos celebrated the beginning of a new academic year.

These future Leos are already making a difference in their new community! 🧡💚

Incoming University of La Verne students participating in the Summer La Verne Experience volunteered with Sowing Seeds for Life at Charisma Life Church in Pomona. Together, they assembled food packages, directed traffic and loaded groceries into vehicles, helping serve 172 cars and provide food for 1,120 people.

Along the way, students connected with their future classmates, learned more about the needs of the surrounding community and experienced how service can make a meaningful impact close to home.
“I think it’s always important to give back, no matter what,” said incoming legal studies major Angelica Escobedo.

A beloved community tradition is back! ✨

After an eight-year hiatus, Concert Under the Stars returned this summer, bringing more than 500 guests together to support eight local nonprofit organizations, including the University of La Verne.

Today, alumnus Greg Hafif ’87 carries forward the philanthropic legacy established by his father, Herb Hafif. He is part of a wider community of ULV alumni, including Rob Fukuzaki ’88, who continue to give back and open doors for future Leos. 🧡💚
