“Lift to Live Another Day”

Lifting weights is the secret to more life!

“Live to Lift Another Day”

Every weightlifter knows when they’ve been pushed to the limit, trained through the struggle, experienced the daily grind and what it means to “Live to Lift Another Day!”

Sunday’s sessions were jam packed! Swipe >>> to see more.

What can we say about Lexi except we’re damn proud to be her coaches and in her corner. Lex finished with a 1kg Comp Sn**ch PR and 137 total, just 1kg shy of her best Comp Total, way to go Lex!

It was a challenging day for Chris in only his 2nd big time meet. Nerves might have gotten the best of him on this day, but when you zoom out…here were the wins:

Chris was able to match his previous best comp Sn**ch at 120. Hit a 145 CnJ and finished with a 265 total….20kg more than what he hit at Nationals U23 last year!!!

We can’t wait to see this kid put it all together!

Marco!!! he finished with a 102 Sn**ch, 115 CnJ, and 217 total. Making the jump from years of powerlifting into weightlifting is no easy task. Congrats to our guy for securing a total at your first big meet! many more to come!!!

Powered by Buc-ee’s and Whataburger.

Vinh, in his first big meet showed all the poise and composure you would expect from an experienced vet. We left a few kilos out there going 3/6, but managed to keep moving the needle in his comp totals. Proud of you dude!!!

Sn**ch 100.
CnJ 131 +5kg Comp PR
Total 231 + 3kg Comp PR

Big Moose 🫎. So proud of this dude. This meet looked different for him compared to any of his other meets. He’s 6 months into his rehab post ACL Surgery (shoutout Raw Performance PT | Sports Physical Therapy for taking care of our guy).

After surgery, he asked me if I thought he could make a comeback to compete. I told him I absolutely do, the question is DO YOU? We talked about not needed to rush back, the importance of a game plan to return to sport, to take his time and be smart about our approach.

All this guy wants to do is lift…and lift with his team. One of my highlights this weekend wasn’t even his lifting…I know what he can do…it’s the 3rd slide. he is looking over and checking on his teammate 2 platforms over pre lift! if I had to choose a teammate between a bear and a moose. 🫎 ALL DAY!!!!

6/6 and a cowboy hat on powers. Post surgery Power Sn PR. 139 CnJ…cuz we gotta keep him hungry 🤣.

A silver sweep for some of our ladies of VICE.

Mia 61kg Jr category. 3kg Comp PR in the CnJ and 4kg Comp PR in the Total. Silver in the Sn**ch, CnJ, and Total.

Linda 86 W40 category. Silvers in the Sn**ch, CnJ, and Total.

Urbana 86+ W40 category. 6/6 and a cowboy hat. Silvers in the Sn**ch, CnJ, and Total.

These 3 ladies have over 55 weightlifting meets between them and delivered yet again. Their experience showed up when it mattered most whether it was bouncing back after a few misses, navigating the ups and downs of remote training, or being flexible with coaching adjustments. Way to go ladies!!!

All smiles n sunshine for our sharpshooter Lisbet aka “Lisfoo” at her first big meet! The amount of joy and great energy that Lis brings is contagious (literally, she was sick all week leading up to comp🤣) but that didn’t stop her from crushing it with a 4/6 performance on the day and plenty more to come!!!
