Sight-reading can feel intimidating… but it doesn’t have to! 🎶🎶

For choir auditions, students aren’t just being asked to sing the right notes. They’re also being asked to understand rhythm, melody, and pitch relationships on the spot!

That’s why we work on sight-reading skills before audition day. So that students can walk into the room feeling prepared, confident, and ready to sing! 🎵

Thinking about auditioning for Honor Choir or your school choir? Start preparing now!

SCVA Honor Choir auditions are coming up! 🎶🤍

If you’re a high school singer preparing for SCVA, I’m offering a limited number of private audition-prep sessions through audition season.

We’ll focus on the areas that can be hardest to prepare for on your own: sight-reading, tonal memory, scales & triads, solo preparation, and mock audition practice.

I’ve helped students prepare for SCVA auditions, including students who went on to earn a spot in Honor Choir.

30-minute sessions starting at $35.

DM, call/text, or email Mendoza Music Studio to reserve a spot!

Limited audition-season appointments available.
