• Recruit and promote based on merit and qualifications
• Perform classification and salary studies
• Conduct internal and external job analysis and alignment
• Validate all examination materials
• Serve as an appeal body for all classified employees
• Administer CSEA contract, PC Rules and Regulations, and Education Code
