We are located in the San Gabriel Valley, in the City of La Puente, California. Saint Joseph School is staffed by caring and dedicated teachers who have been faithfully educating hearts and minds in La Puente and the surrounding community for over 70 years.

🙏💙 Christ at the Center of Everything. Yesterday, our faculty and staff gathered at Mater Dolorosa for a beautiful retreat as we prepare our hearts for the new school year. We were especially blessed by a surprise visit from Father Matthew, who led us in meaningful discussions centered around this year’s theme, “Christ at the Center of Everything.” ✝️ Together, we reflected, prayed, celebrated Mass, shared lunch, and enjoyed time simply being together as a school family. What a wonderful reminder that as we begin another year of teaching, serving, and growing together, everything we do begins and ends with Christ. 🙏💙

🎨🖼️ Before the school year begins, we took time to step away from the classroom and come together at the Getty Center Museum for a day of learning, reflection, and team building. Surrounded by art, architecture, and beautiful gardens, our faculty and staff were reminded that growth happens when we remain curious, inspired, and connected. Most importantly, we strengthened the relationships that will help us serve our students and families with joy throughout the year. 💙🎨🖌️

📚✨ Learning never stops for our amazing teachers! Today, our faculty spent the day at the C3 Conference at Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary HS, collaborating with fellow Catholic educators, discovering new instructional strategies, and gathering fresh ideas to bring back to our classrooms. At St. Joseph School, we believe that when teachers continue to grow, our students thrive. 💙📚

💡🤝 Innovation. Collaboration. Faith. What a fantastic way to kick off the new school year! During our first Faculty & Staff Meeting, our teachers took on a Mystery Bag Innovation Challenge where teams were tasked with inventing a classroom product to solve a real challenge educators face throughout the school year. Armed with only the mystery items in their bags, each team had just minutes to create an innovative solution and deliver a two-minute Shark Tank-style pitch to our panel. The challenge reminded us of something much bigger: the best ideas rarely come from one person- they come from a team that listens, encourages one another, shares their unique gifts, and builds something together. That is exactly the kind of community we strive to be at St. Joseph School. When we keep Christ at the center of all we do, support one another, embrace creativity, laugh together, and work as one, we become stronger for each other and, most importantly, for our students. Here’s to a year filled with faith, innovation, collaboration, and endless possibilities! 💙📚✨

🔨✨ Big thank you to our staff and volunteers who have been hard at work this summer getting ready to welcome our students back home! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been making several improvements at SJS to ensure our campus is looking its very best for the new school year. From fresh paint throughout the campus, to repairs and restoration of the wall by Our Lady of Fatima, to a freshly painted playground, every project has been completed with love and care for our students and families. These upgrades reflect our commitment to providing a beautiful, safe, and faith-filled environment where our children can learn, grow, and thrive. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back soon and begin another incredible year together.

☀️🎉 That’s a wrap on an unforgettable Summer School! What an amazing few weeks of learning, laughter, friendship, and growth! We are so proud of our St. Joseph School students and so grateful to have welcomed new friends from our surrounding schools. Together, we’ve created wonderful memories, built lasting friendships, and shown that learning is even better when we learn together. A heartfelt thank you goes to our incredible Summer School teachers for their dedication, patience, and passion. Your commitment made each day meaningful and inspiring for every student.
A very special thank you to our Summer School Coordinator, Mr. Abner, whose leadership, organization, and care made this program such a tremendous success. Last week, we proudly celebrated two very special milestones: our Kindergarten Graduation and TK Promotion ceremonies! 🎓✨Our students shined as they marked the end of an incredible year filled with learning, growth, friendships, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see them take their next steps with confidence and enthusiasm.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the last day of school! ☀️🎉 today, our Royals headed to the park for field day filled with games, laughter, family, competition, and lots of fun. It was a perfect way to celebrate a year of hard work, growth, friendship, and memories. As we close out another incredible school year, we think our students, families, faculty, and staff for making St. Joseph School, such a special place.
