We are so proud to celebrate Coach Fontenot, who has been named a 2026 Shell Science Lab Regional Challenge Winner! 🔬❤️

And this isn’t her first time earning this recognition — Coach Fontenot has won this award for the second year in a row! Over the past two years, her dedication has brought an incredible $40,000 in funding to our Lobo science labs for materials, equipment, and hands-on learning experiences.

Coach Fontenot is passionate about making science real-world, relevant, and hands-on for our students. She works hard to give our Lobos opportunities to explore, question, create, and see how science connects to the world around them.

We are incredibly grateful for the impact she continues to make in our classrooms and for the opportunities she is creating for the next generation of scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers.

Congratulations, Coach Fontenot! We are Lobo proud! 🔬🐺❤️

Thank you to NSTA, Shell Deer Park Chemicals, and Flinn Scientific for supporting science education and helping teachers like Coach Fontenot bring meaningful learning experiences to students.

Lobo Nation,
We are incredibly proud to share some exciting news! Lomax Junior High NJHS has been recognized as a 2026 National Junior Honor Society Chapter of Distinction!

This national recognition honors NJHS chapters that demonstrate strong leadership, sound chapter operations, meaningful student involvement, and a deep commitment to the pillars of the National Junior Honor Society. Chapters earning this distinction must meet all Essential Standards and demonstrate excellence in areas including student governance and leadership development. This award belongs to our students, but it is also a wonderful reflection of their advisor, Mrs. Miller, who believes deeply in them and gives so much of herself to help them succeed.

The NJHS Chapter of Distinction is a national recognition designed to celebrate chapters that exemplify the values of the Honor Society and demonstrate a commitment to leadership and service. Lomax is honored to be among the chapters earning this distinction in 2026.

Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Miller and our Lomax Junior High NJHS students on this outstanding achievement. We are incredibly proud of the way they represent Lomax Junior High and continue to Raise the Bar and Lead the Pack!
Congratulations, Lobos! ❤️🖤

6,000+ golf pencils?! ✏️⛳️ We think our Lobos are officially set for a lot of writing! 😂

A HUGE thank you to Bay Forest Golf Club and Mayor Rick Helton for the incredibly generous donation of golf pencils to Lomax Junior High! Our students may not be hitting the golf greens, but they’ll definitely be putting these pencils to work! 🐺✏️
