LP-STEM

Port Houston awarded $500,000 in Community Grants to 32 local organizations for 2026. The funds support programs in workforce training, STEM education, health care access, food assistance, and neighborhood improvement across the Houston Ship Channel region.

Workforce development accounts for nearly half of the funding awarded. The grants awarded will help prepare students for careers in the maritime, logistics, and industrial sectors.

LPISD is proud to be represented at the Born to Teach Conference in Atlanta as our Elementary STEM Specialist shares his passion for STEM and early learning with educators from across the country. We’re also excited that one of our amazing Kindergarten teachers from Bayshore Elementary is joining in to help bring the session and conference to life!

We love seeing LPISD educators lead, inspire, and spread their passion for teaching beyond our district. 💡🧡

What an incredible three days of designing, building, creating, exploring, and discovering! From 3D printing and virtual sandboxes to LEGO engineering challenges, our campers showed off their curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills every single day. 🚀🤖🧱

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing students, families, presenters, volunteers, and staff who helped make this STEM-tacular week such a success! ❤️

We loved seeing our future engineers, scientists, inventors, and innovators in action. The smiles, teamwork, and excitement for learning made this camp one to remember!
