The Back to School Bash has always been a hallmark event for the city and our community. We are always happy to play host with the partners who support the students in La Porte ISD!

Today was an incredible first day back at James H. Baker 6th Grade Campus! 💚🐻🚧

This year, we’re embracing one simple idea:

🏗️ We Build What’s Next.

Together, our staff began creating the blueprint for an exceptional school year by identifying the instructional practices that will have the greatest impact on student learning. Every teacher, every department, and every support team committed to the work of building a campus where every student is known, challenged, and prepared.

One of today’s highlights was seeing our campus-wide Construction Zone signs come to life. Each team member selected the high-impact practices they’ll intentionally focus on throughout the year, creating a shared commitment to excellence in every classroom and every interaction.

The foundation has been poured. The blueprint is in place.

Now… it’s time to build. 🏗️💚
