Oh, the Scandal of It!
Thursday, Oct. 16, 2026 | Departing from the La Plata Campus

Join us for a delightfully scandalous day in Annapolis, where you'll uncover secrets from the city's colorful past, enjoy hearty Maryland fare, and have time to browse the shops along historic Maryland Avenue.

Travel in comfort by private motorcoach to Annapolis, where you'll start your day with a cup of crab soup at Rams Head Tavern. Then, your period-attired guide will lead a narrated tour of Maryland's capital, sharing tales of intrigue, political drama, and local legends. After the tour, enjoy a hearty pub lunch before spending time browsing the shops along historic Maryland Avenue. This is no ordinary day trip. It's a day filled with fascinating history, great food, and good company.

To secure transportation for the group, we must confirm participation well before the trip date. If this sounds like a day you’d enjoy, we encourage you to register before August 27. Your early registration helps us move forward with confidence and ensures this trip can take place as planned.

National Waffle Week becomes a passport to flavor in this interactive family class. Parents and children travel the globe through waffle toppings from different countries while practicing a simple STOP-THINK-CHOOSE strategy for making decisions together.

Only one adult needs to register and may bring up to two children ages 4 to 12 for free; each family receives a copy of the featured book to take home.
