Our students in grades PreK 3 and PreK 4 celebrated "Friendsgiving" last Monday. They started with the blessing of Mary’s Grotto in the PreK 4 room. Father Scott gave the blessing and each child presented a rose. Then the classes joined together for a special story read by Father Keith and concluded with a craft, special snack, and combined recess. Our littlest Eagles had a great time! 🦅

We are so proud of one of our 8th grade Eagles, Skyler G. ~ she had an incredible opportunity to be part of the cast of "The Nutcracker" at the Kennedy Center over the holiday weekend! Skyler is a beautiful dancer and many of our school faculty and families got to see her performance. What an amazing experience! Way to go, Skyler!

On Friday, November 11th, our school community celebrated the Veterans of our school, from staff, to parents of current students, to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends -- all were invited for this very special ceremony to honor our Veterans and many came to the school for the event. It was a beautiful service, with prayers led by Deacon Carter, who himself is a Veteran, and opened by our principal, Mrs. Skinner, who is married to a Veteran. We had a special guest speaker, Col. Michelle D. Mitchell, who gave a wonderful presentation to the students and guests, explaining what Veterans Day is all about. Our choir sang beautifully, the band was amazing, and we had a lovely slideshow with pictures of family members who served and are serving. A huge thank you to Mrs. Devine and Mrs. Gutrick for organizing this wonderful event. And THANK YOU to all of our VETERANS for your service and your commitment, we honor you today and every day. God bless you all! 🦅

Our ANS Eagles showed lots of creativity when designing their Book Character pumpkins! Students were able to select a book to read and design a pumpkin modeled after one of the book characters. Our staff and students were excited to welcome back this ANS tradition. The judging was hard, we wanted to select all of them as winners! Thank you to all of the families who participated in this fun event!

What a beautiful All Saints Day Mass today at ANS! Our students in PreK 3, PreK 4 and Kindergarten dressed up as their favorite saints and processed into the gym, while our wonderful choir sang "When the Saints Go Marching In"! Thank you to all who made this mass so special -- it really was a lovely way to celebrate this holy day. 👼

Please pray for the soul of Carolyn Kemp, a former After Care employee here at ANS. She passed away on August 30th. Friends will be received on Friday, September 9th, from 9:00 AM until time of Mass at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, La Plata. May she rest in peace.🙏🏻
