Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students

We are thrilled to warmly welcome you to our first monthly meeting at Milton Somers PTSO. Set for Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at 6:30 p.m., this meeting promises to be an exciting occasion. We'll kick off the evening with a meet and greet, followed by our main topic of discussion.

We partnered with the Center for Abused Persons (CAPS) to give you an insightful presentation on Healthy Families and Healthy Relationships. As a private non-profit agency dedicated to reducing the prevalence and impact of interpersonal violence in Charles County, CAPS is uniquely equipped to offer their expertise on this crucial topic.

Throughout the year, CAPS has been invited by the BOE in Charles County to give presentations on building healthy relationships with students in several of our middle schools. At this meeting, you can preview some of the presentation and gain valuable insights into the importance of healthy relationships.

We invite you to participate in this evening of learning and community collaboration. Not only will you gain valuable information about healthy relationships, but you will also be able to review volunteer opportunities within Milton Somers, learn about the budget, and get a preview of upcoming activities and fundraisers.

We are excited to meet everyone and look forward to an engaging discussion on November 7th, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Please join us for this exciting event, where you'll have a chance to win a door prize and learn about the PTSO membership opportunities that will be available.

Milton Somers Middle School PTSO Vice President, Mr. Ken Britt presented a token of appreciation to Ms. Taylor in honor of National Principals Month on behalf of the PTSO school body.

This month is dedicated to recognizing principals nationwide and their tireless efforts and hard work by showing appreciation for their contributions to the success of students, schools, and communities.
