La Plata R-II High School

Seven La Plata High School seniors visited the University of Missouri (Mizzou) campus on October 8 to explore college life and learn more about the opportunities available at a major university. Students participated in a general new student orientation, toured campus, and enjoyed lunch in a Mizzou dining hall. The tour was especially meaningful as it was led by LHS alumnus and Tiger Tour Team member Kohyn Wood, who shared a familiar connection with the students as they explored their future college options.
This visit was part of the RootEd program, which helps students explore college opportunities and prepare for their futures after graduation.
