​Tired of the same old internet experiments? So are we! Mobile STEAAM Solutions presents the Invisible "Hydro-Sonic" Symphony! 🎵💧 This unique activity is designed to spark incredible parent-student collaboration while exploring the secret world of sound and viscosity.
​This experiment uses a special combination of items you already have in your house to make a complex, invisible force visible. You won’t find this exact method anywhere else! We designed this "Viscosity Fluid Base" just for you! 🤫✨
​🏆 Activity Objective:
​To visually demonstrate how invisible energy waves (sound) interact with and manipulate different states of matter (a special viscosity-amplified fluid).
​By changing the type of music and the shape of the surface, you are tuning the physical reaction! 🤯🔬 This is complex physics made simple and fun for K-5 students!
​🛒 The Uncommon Household Ingredient List:
​You will need:
​A Bowl: Preferably a wide, clear mixing bowl! 🥣
​The Medium: Fresh, tap Water! 💧
​The Viscosity Amplifiers:
​Cornstarch 🌽🧂
​Fine Black Pepper 🌶️🧂
​The Sound Source: A Smartphone 📱 + A powerful Bluetooth Speaker (like a JBL Flip) 🔊🎵
​The Membrane: Plastic Wrap (cling film)! 🌯
​The Mixers: A Spoon and your fingers! 🥄
​🔬 STEP-BY-STEP LAB GUIDE (The Secret Recipe!)
​Get ready for your Hydro-Sonic Symphony! Follow these specific steps to create the visual reaction:
​Preparation (Parent + Student Teamwork): 🤝
​Fill the clear bowl about 1/4 full with water 💧.
​Add 2 tablespoons of Cornstarch and 1/2 teaspoon of Pepper directly into the water.
​Mix GENTLY! 🥄 (Parent: Mix until smooth. Student: Sprinkle the secret ingredients!). This creates the essential Viscosity Fluid Base.
