Good morning, everyone!
I wanted to share this flyer I received, because I think it highlights a really meaningful program here in Oregon. I’m not affiliated with the program and I’m not being paid to promote it — I just know firsthand how tough it can be to find reliable, affordable childcare when you work long or unpredictable hours in the industrial or construction world.
This new “Childcare for Construction” initiative helps support construction workers and apprentices by covering childcare costs so families don’t have to choose between work and safe care for their kids. It’s such a thoughtful resource, and I wish programs like this had existed back when I was working those long shifts.
If you or someone you know works in construction or is in an apprenticeship, it might be worth checking out. The flyer includes links for more information, email contacts, and sign‑up details, and of course-if you're in the market for safe, reliable childcare we have openings! 😁

🎃 Trunk or Treat was a blast!
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, share a smile, or bring your little ones out for some Halloween fun in La Pine. We loved meeting so many families, seeing all the amazing costumes, and being part of such a joyful community event.

Our community is holding space for a young student who is currently hospitalized. In response, many are wearing shirts that say “You Matter”—a quiet but powerful reminder that every life holds deep meaning, especially in moments of struggle.
As a parent, I want to echo that message: You matter. Dakoda matters. Our kids matter.

🌿 Welcome to Our Childcare Community 🌿

Before I became a childcare provider, I was a mom working long hours — six days a week, twelve hours a day — constantly juggling schedules and worrying about my kids. Each of them was in a different childcare program, and finding care that felt safe, consistent, and emotionally supportive was a daily challenge.
That experience shaped everything about the care I offer today.
At our program, we meet families where they are. We’re officially open from 6:30 AM to 6 PM, but we offer flexible, 24-hour care — including nights, weekends, holidays, and everything in between. Because I know firsthand how much it matters to have someone you trust when life doesn’t fit into a 9-to-5 box.

• CPR & First Aid Certified
• ERDC (employment related daycare) accepted with an in-house subsidy program

All adults in the home (myself and my husband) are registered with the CBR (central background registry)

🌿 Today is World Mental Health Day 🌿

At Tiny Tots, we believe mental health matters—for children, families, and caregivers alike.

We honor the feelings that show up in little bodies: the big emotions, the quiet worries, the joyful bursts. We create space for children to feel safe, seen, and supported.

But today, I also want to speak as a mom.
To my own children:
Even when life feels heavy, even when my mind is tired or my heart is stretched thin—being your mom is the greatest gift. You remind me daily that love is louder than stress, and that healing can happen in the smallest moments.

Mental health isn’t always tidy. But it’s real. And it matters.
So today, we pause to say:
💚 You are doing your best.
💚 You deserve rest and care.
💚 You are not alone.

Let’s keep building a community where emotional wellbeing is just as important as learning ABCs and tying shoes.
