I had a very happenstance meeting the other day!
A woman by the name of Temple Grandin.
(I fan-girled a little bit😁)

For those of you not familiar with her work, she is a prominent proponent of the humane treatment of livestock for slaughter and the author of more than 60 scientific papers on animal behavior.
Grandin is a consultant to the livestock industry, where she offers advice on animal behavior. And also a spokesperson for people with autism.
If only I could have an ounce of her tenacity and wit!

We practiced bridges and water crossings during our ride. Paulie was the steadfast lead horse who showed the other 2 just what bridges are all about! 🐎

She is such a dedicated learner, and she is certainly flourishing with all her time on horseback!

We had such a fun ride at Paulina creek the other day!
Big adventure out and about! 🐎
Hayven has been wanting a trail ride and we went to one of the most picturesque places to visit! The weather was perfect and we had the trail almost completely to ourselves.

I'm so happy to bring people great memories, and always grateful for my friendly, calm horses making ALL of this possible 😊

Here Maple is rewarding Snickers after their ride.
She is such a hard worker! She made sure Snickers was following through with her requests. Not always an easy task with this willful horse 🐴

High lining a horse is a great tool to have in your tool box!
Here Winnie is practicing this skill, and doing a great job with it!
Teaching your horse to tie, in all sorts of locations, is such an important skill. And sometimes it is overlooked!
This type of tying comes in handy when you don't have a corral or hitching rail near by.

The horses had a work assignment in Eugene this past weekend. 🐴
They visited a client of mine's family farm, and gave several generations of family a memorable and enjoyable ride!
Even the grandparents took a ride on them (more pictures to follow)
This was the 3rd generation, son and daughter in law having a splendid time overlooking the valley on horseback 🥰
