Before I play catch-up with my posts, I have to start with our year-end program that took place last Friday.
We switched things up a bit this year as we combined Family Day with our Moving Up Celebration. The children sang, danced, and spoke from their hearts, leaving their parents amazed and proud. They also prepared special gifts for their families to take home.
I was able to put together all of their work from this past year as well, giving parents a chance to see and cherish the incredible growth and learning that took place.
Exhausted? Absolutely. But more importantly, I am one very happy teacher. ❤️

March is becoming one of the most exciting months as we dedicate a week to learning about Dr. Seuss and his wonderful books. The children dressed up and created projects each day while celebrating “Read Across America.” We also celebrated St. Patrick’s Day—although the little leprechaun didn’t visit our classroom this year, as some of our friends feel anxious when he drops by (lol).
This month, the children also learned about birds—their parts and life cycle—as well as the continent of Europe, where they created an ibex project. We wrapped up the month as they prepared for Easter Sunday and Spring Break.

I’ve been playing catch-up this year. While we celebrate many of the same activities annually—covering similar lessons and concepts—each year still brings new experiences, unique arts and crafts, and a range of emotions.

In February, we saw red as we celebrated Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, and Presidents’ Day. We also explored the continent of Asia and created a fun panda project. In addition, the children learned about the importance of taking care of their teeth during Pediatric Dental Health Week.

This month, we welcomed a new friend—yay! It was a short yet truly fulfilling month.

January 2026 Recap
The first month of the year was as busy as it could be! The children explored Antarctica and the polar regions, learning about the geography and the many animals that call these habitats home. They also learned about the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and how his teachings continue to resonate today.
For the first time, we celebrated our 100th Day of School with fun activities such as counting 100 cereal pieces, placing 100 hearts, decorating our 100-day crowns, and so much more.
This month, we also enjoyed a visit from our old friend Daniel, and someone special celebrated another trip around the sun.

First, Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! 💕 Yesterday, the kids celebrated by singing songs, decorating cookies and cupcakes, making bracelets, playing games, reading stories, sharing meals, and most importantly, exchanging gifts and treats with one another. They also made sweet cards for their parents.

It was such a lovely way to show love and kindness to each other — although I still believe Valentine’s Day should be celebrated every single day. ❤️

December has always been the busiest month—both personally and professionally—and honestly, the hype of the season doesn’t really slow down until we’re already deep into January. 😂
The kids had a wonderful time learning about the many ways people celebrate holidays around the world. They sang carols and performed for the people they love with so much enthusiasm and heart. As one parent happily put it, they’re all doing great at “QT Home of Performing Arts” — LOL! I’m just one very proud teacher.
They also had fun preparing special gifts for their moms and dads, which made the season even more meaningful.
Before things get busy again, that’s a wrap for reminder for 2025! Here’s to welcoming 2026 with renewed excitement and curiosity. Cheers! 🥂
