Biola University Writing Center

Biola University Writing Center We love helping our fellow students learn to write well. Perhaps you've heard that no one cares about your grades once you leave the halls of academia.

While that notion holds some truth, it is equally true that most potential employers do care about writing skills. They care so much that they bemoan the poor preparation of the entry-level pool of grads. In a labor force full of mediocre writers, someone who writes well is bound to stand out and succeed. Let's be honest: not everything you learn in college is crucial. But learning to write is cru

cial. If you have difficulty writing, let us help! Biola's Writing Center is a place where students of all disciplines and writing abilities can discuss their writing with a trained consultant, designed to provide feedback and assessment of papers in progress. The focus is on the process of writing and assisting the student who has writing deficiencies - not on editing or proofreading. The Center is open to all Biola students, both under- and post-graduate. Whether you need guidance in creating your thesis about the origins of antidisestablishmentarianism, or navigating the zany rules surrounding semicolons, we are here for you! We're open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 5 pm, and on Fridays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Come see us soon!
