A few volunteers came to the garden to prep a bed for summer and a 4th grade class came out to help with weeding our side beds and they got to harvest onions to take home. 🧅 one student said they were making dinner this weekend and they were going to make garden fried rice with that onion ❤️❤️

The 5th grade fried rice cooking competition is such a fun way to wrap up the school year in the garden. This is a culmination of all that these students have learned in their time at the Lemon Avenue garden. Special thank you to Judey from The Sage Garden Project for being a guest judge and our principal, Mrs. Krekeler for judging one of the classes.
