🎃🧙‍♀️ Double, double, toil and trouble! Today, Ms. Cox’s 2nd graders brewed up a spooky science lesson in the garden — Witches’ Brew! 🌿🍊🕯️

Using herbs, dried fruit, and spices, they mixed up potions worthy of any cauldron. Some brave souls loved the magical mix… others decided one sip was scary enough! 😄🧪

A frightfully fun way to celebrate Halloween and garden learning! 🌱💀✨

🌱✨ Room 11 had a blooming good day in the garden! 🌼🥦🍈

The kids planted honeydew, broccoli, and flowers from the 🌸📚 library & Mission Trails seed exchanges 🌿.

But the highlight? 🙌 WEEDING! 😂 The kids were thrilled to pull weeds and even tackle some tumbleweeds 🌾➡️🗑️. Who knew pulling weeds could be so exciting?! 💪🌻

Our praying mantis eggs hatched at the end of last week. We hope some will stick around to help keep our garden free from pests 🤞🏼🥰

5th graders finishing up the school year by prepping the garden for the hot summer months. These kids have been such great helpers over the years! 🥹🧑‍🌾👩🏻‍🌾🪏🪴🫜

A magical few weeks releasing ladybugs into the garden and learning all about these amazing insect helpers. 🥰🐞

We had an awesome week designing and building our STEM traps with 2nd grade! We didn’t catch any furry friends, but we had a blast in the garden together 🐿️🐇💕

4th and 5th graders had a fun week with fungus! We made “yeast balloons,” dissected mushrooms, and learned all about fabulous fungi! 🍄🫶🏼🍄‍🟫

It’s time for our annual Squirrel Stem Challenge. Out 2nd graders are working hard to design creative ways to co exist with our furry garden eating neighbors 😉🐿️

A lovely day for ladybugs! They’re the best at eating unwanted bugs in the garden. Thank you Stephanie for an amazing 3rd grade lesson! 😍🐞
