Helix Charter High School Welcome to Helix Charter High School, home of the Highlanders! Helix Charter High School has been serving the community well since 1952.

Approximately 200 staff members serve a diverse community of 2,400 students. The school has a strong tradition of excellence in many areas, including academics, arts, and athletics.

Our Algebra 1C teachers and 9th-grade team will share helpful resources, tips on tracking your student's progress, and answer any questions you have about the course.

Our 11th-grade Scotties are preparing to share their high school journey and future goals, and we need YOU in the audience! Join us as a community panelist to support, encourage, and listen to our juniors.

🍽️ Bonus: A catered lunch is provided for all registered volunteers!

📍 EVENT DETAILS:

📅 Dates: Wed, Sept. 2 and Thurs, Sept. 3. Volunteer for 1 day or both! (RSVP required)

⏰ 12:30 PM: Meet in the Library for a catered lunch & quick judge orientation

Ever wondered what high school looks like through your student's eyes? Walk the halls, visit classes, and meet our teachers on Wednesday, September 2, 2026!

✨ Event Highlights:
Follow your student’s full daily schedule (Minimum Day schedule running Sept 2 & 3, school dismissed at 1:05 PM).
Stop by the Library for refreshments hosted by the Helix Foundation.
Grab breakfast or lunch at the cafeteria ($3–$6, cash only).

⚠️ Good to Know:
Parents/guardians only (no younger siblings).
Limited parking in the Lowell St. student lot. Come early!
The Family–School Partnership Act protects employee rights to take time off work to visit their child's school!

🏆 Helix is officially the 2026 Race to Submit Champion! 🏆

A major congratulations to our Class of 2026 Grade Level Team and the College & Career Center! Their efforts were recognized at the annual San Diego County Race to Submit Awards.

Competing against large schools (500+ seniors), 91.9% of our Class of 2026 successfully submitted and matched their FAFSA/CADAA financial aid applications!

Thank you to the entire department for working together to unlock financial aid opportunities for our Scotties!
